National Junior College was involved in theĀ Games as volunteers and Liaison Officers to the visiting countries. Our NOC country was Malaysia. The NOC had scheduled to arrive with close to a hundred athletes, forming one of the biggest contingents for the Games.

However, things took a turn when the young athletes were advised to stay in their country amidst the fear of the H1N1 flu pandemic that is occurring around the world. In the end, only the soccer team and 2 sailors arrived to compete in the games.
