imagine. create. integrate.

The theme for this year's competition is Imaginate. It represents the central philosophy supporting all the sciences that scientific realities usually begin as the dreams of those who dare to go beyond current boundaries in the pursuit of furthering the frontiers of knowledge.

The word “Imaginate” itself is an amalgamation of the 3 key concepts underlying this philosophy, that which is to Imagine, Create and Integrate.

Imagining possibilities is the first step in any scientific inquiry, where novel solutions are first conceived in the mind of the scientist before it takes physical form.

Creation of concrete scientific approaches to these conundrums is then taken up to make these possibilities a reality.

However, great dreams are difficult to come to fruition through the efforts and knowledge of an isolated community alone. This is where Integration across the scientific disciplines allows the community to go beyond the possibilities first dreamt of by any one person.

By combining these 3 processes together, it then becomes possible for us to look beyond the immediate horizon and from that vantage point, glance into what the future may hold for mankind.
