The selection criteria is, in essence, holistic, and is based on a variety of the applicant’s tangible and intangible qualities
- Academic excellence and potential
- Leadership
- Active participation in CCAs
- Communication skills
- Working qualities: A person who is a team player; who can learn independently; who is capable of creative and critical thinking; who is driven to excel and has a passion for lifelong learning and is willing to explore new ideas beyond the classroom and curriculum
- Character qualities: A person who is compassionate, resilient, rational and responsible, has good EQ and AQ, and is a risk-taker with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Social qualities: A person who is sensitive to racial and religious issues and shows devotion to his country and its national values

All students interested in participating in the DSA Exercise have to submit an online application here.
All applicants will be selected to participate in Selection Phase 1.
The Ability Tests will comprise the followings: Mathematical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and Abstract Reasoning. Candidates have to sit for all the tests on the same day.
An administrative non-refundable fee of S$50 will be levied to cover the total cost of the tests.
Students under the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), SAC Bursary Scheme or any school bursary schemes will have this administrative fee waived. Please bring along a photocopy of the MOE FAS/bursary offer letter and present it when registering your attendance for the test.
Selection Phase 2: Day Activity [21 August 2010] & Interviews [28 August 2010]
Phase 2 consists of 2 parts: Selection Phase 2A Day Activity and Phase 2B Interviews.
Only shortlisted candidates from the Selection Phase 1 will be invited for Phase 2. You will be notified to participate in this selection phase via the email.
Decisions will be mailed to you in the first week of September 2010.
