Guidance and counselling as a form of social and emotional support is a very important aspect of character development. Our college offers a customized mentorship and guidance programme for our Integrated Programme students.
The programme is delivered via two modes: |
| |
- Lesson delivery through the Guidance Curriculum or Personal Development Curriculum
- Personal Mentorship
|
| |
Every student is assigned a personal mentor. The personal mentors do not just deliver the guidance curriculum but are also trained to look after the emotional and pastoral well-being of the students under their charge. Personal mentors are the immediate point of contact for any student who needs any help or guidance.
Personal mentors will look after their students during their stay in Junior High. Upon reaching Senior High, they will be assigned a personal mentor from the Senior High.
The mentorship and guidance programme is specially pegged at the appropriate age level. It is hoped that through the programme, students will acquire essential life skills and become responsible persons of sound character. In addition, they will acquire important social skills that can help them in their future interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships.
Besides social and emotional guidance and counselling, students are also given opportunities to receive career guidance and advice on scholarships and university admissions. |
